Learning how to prompt in GenAI is a superpower skill that we acquire over time. One of the frameworks I use to prompt is the PILLARS approach. That is:

Persona – “Respond as a…”
Intent – “Your goal is to…”
Layout – “Format the response as….”
Limits – “Avoid…”
Audience – “This is intended for….”
Requirements – “Ensure that you include…”
Style – “Use a tone that is…”

When prompting, starting off with much better context will produce better output. Just imagine shooting darts on a dartboard with the bullseye as your target. If you send a meaningful prompt, you’ll hit near the bullseye, and as you refine the prompt, you’ll eventually be satisfied with the results.
