Salesforce AIforce puts CRM data and agents inside Claude and Slack
Salesforce announced AIforce at Dreamforce on September 15, 2026. The CRM no longer needs its own screen. Sales work can now happen inside Claude and Slack, with Salesforce data, rules and permissions behind it.
AIforce is an interface layer. It brings Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, security and governance to the places where people already work with AI agents. A user does not have to open Salesforce to use it.
Claudeforce extends the Salesforce partnership with Anthropic. It ships 37 prebuilt sales skills inside Claude and a Claude Code plugin with 40 skills. Salesforce plans extensions for Tableau, Service, Marketing and Commerce.
Slackforce lets teams view, share, edit and filter account data inside Slack. Slackforce Surfaces let teams build interactive views for their own workflows. Microsoft Teams support is on the roadmap with no date.
Agentforce Coworker is the AI teammate inside Salesforce. It calls the specialized Agentforce agents a company already built, and it follows the user’s permissions and business rules. Techzine reports that Coworker passed 100,000 activated users within 35 days of launch.
Marc Benioff called it an interface revolution. Techzine also notes that clear pricing is not in place. Salesforce mixes per-seat licenses, Agentforce add-ons at 125 dollars or 5 dollars per user per month, Flex Credits at 500 dollars per 100,000, and possible outcome-based fees. Executives said token-based pricing does not work because buyers cannot see what they pay for.
The takeaway
The CRM screen stops being the place where sales work happens. When the system of record is headless, the agent workspace becomes the front end. The GTM engineer’s job is to wire skills, permissions and data into that workspace.
Why it matters for agent-led growth
- Skills are the unit of GTM work. Salesforce packaged 37 sales skills for Claude. Define your own motions as skills too: one skill per repeatable task, with the data it needs and the rule it must follow.
- Governance travels with the data. Permissions and business rules apply inside the agent surface. This is the condition for letting an agent take actions without a person on every step.
- Adoption is fast when the agent sits in the flow of work. 100,000 Coworker users in 35 days shows the pull. Put the agent where the rep already works, not in a new tab.
- Pricing is not settled. Plan for a mix of seats, credits and outcome fees. Model the cost per agent action for each workflow before you commit.
